Maxwell Hits The Road w/ Common, Ledisi & Leela James

A few months ago, we announced at Maxwell was going on town with Mary J. Blige. He his the road this past fall after releasing the critically acclaimed blackSUMMERSnight album last summer which is part 2 of the trilogy. Last month, Maxwell won a Grammy award for Best R&B Song for the hit single “Lake By The Ocean”.

It seems like he just can’t get enough of the road and seeing his fans. Yesterday, it was announced that Maxwell will once again hit the road on tour later this spring for a few select U.S. tour dates alongside Common, Ledisi and Leela James. Tidal members get first dibs on tickets beginning March 28th while tickets go on sale to the general public on March 31st. $1 of each ticket will be donated to Artist for Peace and Justice.

Jeezy Takes Trap Or Die 3 on Tour

Jeezy is super busy to start 2017. Two weeks after dropping the visual for his new single “Like That/Sexe”, he annouced yesterday that he’s taking the show on the road. This March, Jeezy will team with Live Nation for an 18 city U.S. tour that will start in Chicago and end in Riverside, CA which will include two nights in New York City. He also recruited Lil Durk and YFN Lucci to join him on the road. Tickets are available now so get them now.

Sevyn Streeter Starts Her Tour Tonight

Tonight is the grand opening of Sevyn Streeter’s tour for her upcoming album, “Girl Disrupted”. The Atlantic recording artist is set to release the album on Jan. 27th while on her 17 city U.S. tour. The album, which features the singles “Prolly” feat. Gucci Mane and “D4L” Feat. The Dream is her 3rd release. Earlier today, Maxwell announced on his Facebook page that he’s hitting the road w/ Mary J. Blige for the 1st time. The tour is called King + Queen of Hearts world tour and Ro James will be the opening act. It will kick off next month in Zurich and will hit the U.S. 11/5 in Baltimore. Tickets will go on sale this Friday through Ticketmaster but the pre-sale is going on now. The full tour dates are:

Ro James announces debut album & tour opening for Maxwell

Ro James is set to drop his debut project called El Dorado. The 13 track LP R&B project takes you on a up and down journey of a relationship. The album is due out May 27th on ByStorm/RCA Records. Kicking off June 18th at Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, WA, James joins Maxwell as a special guest on his “SUMMERS’ Tour 2016.” The tour will be stopping in cities across the U.S. including Sacramento, Brooklyn, Nashville and more. Prior to hitting the road with Maxwell, Ro James will perform various dates supporting Erykah Badu and will perform two solo shows as part of the Heineken Green Room Series in Philadelphia and Brooklyn. Teyana Taylor working on a new album?

WASHINGTON, D.C. – After giving birth to her baby girl Iman Tayla Shumpert, Jr. in December, G.O.O.D. Music’s first lady, Teyana Taylor announces that she could be releasing her forthcoming album as soon as this summer.

Over the summer of last year, the Harlem, New York native unleashed The Cassette Tape 1994 EP which followed her 2014 debut album, VII.

Between being a new mom and fianceé to Cleveland Cavaliers’ shooting guard Iman Shumpert, Tey says she finally has the time to gear up for her next musical release.

“We’re already recording on my days off, we’re just recording,” Teyana says in an exclusive interview with HotNewHipHop‘s Baker. “I already made them wait long enough, so it’s time to just keep the music going, going, going, hopefully we have an album out by the summertime.”

Teyana is currently on her VII Unplugged Tour which is set to wrap up May 17 in Los Angeles at the Belasco Theatre.

Ice-T, Public Enemy, Mobb Deep & EPMD on tour together

Ice-T, Public Enemy and Mobb Deep are among the acts appearing on “The Art Of Rap Festival 2016” festival tour this summer, according to the tour’s website.

Naughty By Nature, EPMD, the Sugarhill Gang, Grandmaster Melle Mel, Scorpio and MC Lyte are also on the jaunt, which is named after Ice-T’s 2012 movie.

“Hip-hop is the most powerful and influential cultural movement since rock and roll,” Ice-Tsays in a statement, per Rolling Stone. “A true art form that deserves respect.”

The SiriusXM Backspin-backed outing is slated to kick off July 16 at the Gexa Energy Pavilion in Dallas and conclude August 6 at the Freedom Hill Amphitheatre in Sterling Heights, Michigan.

Summer Sixteen Tour kicks off in July

Want to see Drake & Future in concert this summer? Well, they officially announced dates for the North American trek, which kicks off July 20 in Austin, Tex. and travels across the U.S. and Canada, with stops at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, Los Angeles’ Staples Center, Chicago’s United Center, and Miami’s AmericanAirlines Arena.

They will be joined by OVO Sound’s Roy Wood$ and dvsn, and other “special guests” during the 30-city run, which wraps Sept. 17 at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena.

The trek also includes stops at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre for the 7th annual OVO Fest on July 31 and Aug. 1. In addition to Drake and Future, this year’s OVO lineup includes Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa.

“Summer Sixteen” comes in support of Drake’s album “Views” which dropped 4/29, and Future’s latest chart-topper EVOL. Expect them to also perform joint hits off September’s What a Time to Be Alive.
