DJ Khaled is “Grateful”

I woke up this morning and realized that today is the day that DJ Khaled released his new album “Grateful”. Before the Epic Records project was released, it grabbed a #1 single spot with “I’m The One” Feat. Justin Bieber, Lil Wayne, Chance The Rapper and Quavo. Before people can digest this album, it might get another #1 spot with “Wild Thoughts” Feat. Rihanna and Bryson Tiller.

“Grateful” is a star studded compilation featuring artists like Beyonce, Jay-Z, Calvin Harris, Nas, Drake, Future, Migos, Sizzla, Mavado and much more. It has music for a wide range of people.  Trap music heads can check out tracks like “Pull A Caper” and “That Range Rover Came With Steps” while hip-hop purist can check out “Good Man”, “It’s Secured” and “Billy Ocean”. To me, it seems like Khaled is talking more than usual on this project and with good reason. As a new father, Khaled is splitting the Executive Producer claim with his son, Asahd on this project. He dedicated a song to him called “I Love You So Much”.

Overall, this is another good body of work for the summer for DJ Khaled. Check it out and let me know your thoughts.

This morning, DJ Khaled left a gift in our inbox. He dropped his newest single as a buildup to the June 23rd release of his next project “Grateful”. The new track features Drake and it’s called “To The Max”. This up tempo track is vastly different from the duo’s summertime anthem last year “For Free”. Check it out there and request on Commish Radio.

Want to see Drake & Future in concert this summer? Well, they officially announced dates for the North American trek, which kicks off July 20 in Austin, Tex. and travels across the U.S. and Canada, with stops at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, Los Angeles’ Staples Center, Chicago’s United Center, and Miami’s AmericanAirlines Arena.

They will be joined by OVO Sound’s Roy Wood$ and dvsn, and other “special guests” during the 30-city run, which wraps Sept. 17 at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena.

The trek also includes stops at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre for the 7th annual OVO Fest on July 31 and Aug. 1. In addition to Drake and Future, this year’s OVO lineup includes Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa.

“Summer Sixteen” comes in support of Drake’s album “Views” which dropped 4/29, and Future’s latest chart-topper EVOL. Expect them to also perform joint hits off September’s What a Time to Be Alive.
